1. General Questions

1.1 What is digiSim.world?

digiSim.world is a platform offering local, regional, and global eSIM plans to help travelers stay connected without the hassle of swapping physical SIM cards.

1.2 What is an eSIM?

An eSim is a digital SIM card. Hence, we called ours digiSim.world :) Physical SIM cards need to be embedded in the devices sim slot. However eSims can be downloaded and installed on your device without requiring a physical card.

1.3 Which countries and regions are supported?

We support more than 200 countries and regions. We have more than 2000 different eSim packages that you can choose from. Go to our home page and check out our whole catalog.

1.4 Does my phone or device support eSIMs?

We have a detailed section about devices that support eSims here. Please go through this comprehensive list before you purchase our eSims.

1.5 How many eSims can I install on my phone or device?

The number of eSims that you can install depends on your device. Most devices will allow you to install multiple eSims. However, check your device's specifications for the exact number.

1.5 How many eSims can I use at the same time?

You can use either one or two eSims at the same time depending on how many your device supports. However, you can usually store multiple sims and switch from one to the other when you need them.

1.6 I want to use an eSim in one country and travel to another country. After I come back to the first country, will my eSim work?

Yes. Your eSim will work until the end of the validity period of your eSim. You can extend the validity period by topping up through My eSims . It does not matter how many times you leave the country and come back. When you reach the supported network, your eSim will start working again.

1.7 When can I install my eSim?

We recommend to install it right before you start travelling to your destination. Your validity period, unless otherwise stated , starts when your eSim is first connected to one of the the supported networks.

1.8 Why should I use an eSim instead of my sim/eSim from my country when I’m travelling?

National operators usually charge considerable amounts for roaming fees. The whole point of using eSims is to save on excessive roaming charges from your operator. With digiSim.world eSims, you can control your costs, monitor your usage and top-up as needed.

1.9 Do you have eSims with voice and sms?

Yes, some of our eSims have voice and text (sms) included. Currently some eSims for US , UK and the Whole World have voice and text. You can see packages with voice and text when you go through available eSims for these regions.

1.10 Can I use my existing Whatsapp account with your eSims when I travel?

You can use your existing Whatsapp account with our eSims. We provide you with data access which enables to use all internet services including Whatsapp.

1.11 Can I use my eSim to activate Whatsapp?

You can use your existing Whatsapp account with our eSims. However, only the Whole World eSims that have inclusive voice and text support Whatsapp activation with the eSim phone number.

1.12 Is tethering (personal hotspot) allowed?

You can use personal hotspot with your device as long as it is supported by your device and the connected network. We do not place any restrictions on tethering.

2. Purchasing & Payment

2.1 How do I purchase an eSIM plan?

Simply pick your destination, choose a data plan, and pay. We generate a QR code or direct installation link upon purchase to simplify the installation process. You will recieve instructions through email as well as on your payment completion page.

2.2 What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards.

2.3 Is my payment info secure?

Absolutely. Our site uses HTTPS encryption, and all payments are processed via Stripe with industry-standard security. We do not store your actual credit card details. All this is handled by Stripe which follows strict security standards.

2.4 Do you store credit card information?

If you choose to save a card for future purchases, it’s stored securely via Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. You can manage or remove saved cards anytime under your account’s Payment Methods.

3. Activation & Installation

3.1 How do I install/activate the eSIM after purchase?

You’ll receive a QR code or direct link in your confirmation email and on your screen after completing the purchase. You can also find the installation instructions in My eSims section. On iOS, direct installation link, QR code and manual installation options are available. For Android, QR Code and manual installation options are available.

3.2 Can I install the eSIM before arriving at my destination?

Yes. You can install it beforehand. Just remember to activate the plan once you land so the roaming rules and data usage apply properly.

3.3 What if I lose the QR code or email?

Your eSIM details remain in My eSims section on our site. You can retrieve or re-scan the QR code to instal your eSim.

4. Usage & Top-Ups

4.1 How do I track my data usage?

You can see near real-time data usage in your phone’s cellular settings or by logging into your digiSim.world account and going to My eSims section. There, you will be able to see your remaining data, and if supported by eSim, remaining voice and sms. You will also be able to top up your eSim.

4.2 What happens if I run out of data?

Your data will pause until you top up. You can purchase an additional data package under your account’s top-up options. You can top up at My eSims after you log in.

4.3 Can I reuse the same eSIM for a second trip?

You can use the same eSIM on your second trip if it is within the validity period. Alternatively you can top-up your eSIM at My eSims before you travel a second time.

5. Troubleshooting & Support

5.1 My eSIM won't activate. What do I do?

Verify your device is eSIM-capable and unlocked, ensure you have a stable internet connection, and check if you scanned the correct QR code. If issues persist, please contact support.

5.2 My data or calls aren't working after installation.

Make sure your eSIM profile is active in settings. For data, confirm APN/roaming settings are done as specified in the installation instructions. Not all eSims support regular calls, so check if your package has voice through My eSims. If you still encounter issues, please reach out to our support.

5.3 I have just landed, but my eSim has not been activated yet.

It usually takes a few minutes for the network to discover and authenticate your eSim. Don’t panic. Usually it will take several minutes you arrive, your eSim will start working. So if you’ve arrived on a plane, proceed disembarking the plane and by the time you our at the airport, your eSim will usually start working.

6. Account & Security

6.1 Do I need an account to buy an eSIM?

Yes, creating an account ensures you can purchase and manage your eSIMs, top-ups, and view purchase history and other details securely in one place.

6.2 How do I reset my password?

Click “Forgot Password” on the login page.. We’ll email a reset link.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

7.1 What is the refund policy?

Refund requests are accepted until 30 days from the purchase date for eSIMs where issues are identified and confirmed to have been caused by us. Refund requests are evaluated on a case by base basis.
